Video: Volatility to Drive More Interest in Alternatives

In this video, Colbert Narcisse projects greater interest in alternative investments as stock- and bond-market volatility rises in the coming months. Mr. Narcisse is head of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Alternative Investments Group, and he says “uncertainty in the markets” concerning oil prices, interest rates, and Europe are all contributing to more volatility. This, he says will encourage investors to increase their allocations to “alternatives,” which he defines as “private equity, private real estate, single manager hedge funds, managed futures, and fund of funds.”
