The new ETFs offer exposure to emerging market equities and climate change-positive opportunities respectively.

Amundi Asset Management launched its Amundi MSCI Emerging ESG Universal UCITS ETF offering investors exposure to large- and mid-cap securities in 26 emerging markets countries.

This ETF will track the MSCI Emerging Markets ESG Universal Select index. It will eschew investing in industries such as thermal coal, controversial weapons, tobacco or ESG controversies. (International Investment)

It will also increase its exposure to companies with a “robust and improving ESG.”

The fund will list on Xetra and Euronext Paris next month and features ongoing charges of 0.20%.

The second fund in the Amundi double launch is a climate ETF.

Amundi MSCI World Climate Paris Aligned PAB UCITS ETF

This ETF is an expansion of Amundi’s climate ETF range launched in June this year.

It seeks to replicate the performance of the MSCI World Climate Change Paris Aligned Select Index. It is an equity index based on the MSCI World Index representative of the large and mid-cap markets across 23 developed countries (as of March 2020).

The index aims to represent the performance of a strategy that reweights securities based upon the opportunities and risks associated with the climate transition to meet the EU Paris-aligned benchmark (EU PAB) label minimum requirements.

Ongoing charges of the fund are 0.25%. It lists on Euronext Paris.

“We are pleased to enhance our range of responsible ETFs, meeting the growing demand from investors for sustainable ETFs to implement cost-effective ESG and climate-positive portfolios,” said Fannie Wurtz, head of ETF, indexing, and smart beta at Amundi.

As of June 30, Amundi had 1.592 trillion euros in Assets under Management. It was the No 1 European Asset Manager by AuM and in the top 10 worldwide.

The asset manager has over 100 million retail, institutional, and corporate clients worldwide.
