“Millions of people already choose Samsung Wallet, and this partnership will give more people the opportunity to use the safe and secure Samsung Pay service on their Galaxy device”- Teg Dosanjh, Vice President, Samsung Electronics Europe, on the partnership with Mastercard

Samsung Electronics (KRX: 005930) and Mastercard (NYSE: MA) have partnered to launch the Wallet Express program, offering banks and card issuers a cost-effective way to expand digital wallet offerings. Through Wallet Express, issuers can integrate Samsung Wallet, allowing consumers to make payments using various methods, including Galaxy wearable devices.

This collaboration aims to provide flexibility and convenience to consumers, enhancing the in-store shopping experience. Samsung Wallet, a comprehensive digital wallet combining Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass, allows users to organize digital keys, boarding passes, and identification cards securely.

The success of Wallet Express has led Mastercard to introduce the next two iterations for the Wallet Express Issuer Enablement Programme in 2024, simplifying the process for issuers to support Samsung Wallet and offering consumers a robust digital wallet platform.

Mastercard’s participation in this program streamlines the onboarding of eligible Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) wallets for participating issuers in various countries.
