Square unveiled 10 cutting-edge generative AI features on Wednesday, designed to revolutionize operations for businesses of all sizes. These innovative tools are seamlessly integrated into Square’s robust business software, offering entrepreneurs a helping hand to navigate the intricate challenges of running a company.

Earlier this year, Square made generative AI a top priority, aiming to provide its millions of sellers with time and cost-saving AI-powered tools. This recent launch represents a significant stride toward achieving that objective, placing tangible products in the hands of sellers across the Square ecosystem, regardless of the specific products they use.

The new generative AI-powered features are diverse and impactful. For example, the “Menu Generator” simplifies menu creation for restaurants, enabling them to establish a full menu on Square with remarkable speed and ease. E-commerce sellers benefit from “Photo Environments,” allowing them to enhance their websites with hyperreal AI-generated backgrounds and style prompts.

These tools extend beyond the surface, aiding sellers in content creation. Sellers can now access AI-generated content for email marketing through “Personalized email copy,” streamline team communication with “Team announcements,” and optimize website content using the “Website copy generator.” Direct messaging with buyers is also elevated with “Suggested replies.”

Moreover, Square assists businesses in setting up their operations more efficiently, offering an “Auto-generated library” for Point of Sale software and simplifying the transition to Square Appointments with “Auto-imported services.”

Additionally, Square focuses on optimizing operational efficiency with features like “Kitchen categories,” which streamline kitchen operations in restaurants, and “Item descriptions” to enhance catalog management.

Saumil Mehta, Head of Point of Sale and Omnichannel at Square, said it was the company’s mission to empower businesses of all sizes with AI. Furthermore, Square’s integrated ecosystem and generative AI features helped to place the businesses at the forefront of technology.

These newly launched features, in conjunction with established AI-powered solutions like Square Messages, are available to sellers, with some accessible through Square’s beta program.
