Device security fanatics will welcome the blockchain-based phone and camera. CES 2020 did – with innovation awards.

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 at Las Vegas honored the Blok on Blok (BOB) phone from Pundi X and the UCAM camera from IoTeX with CES 2020 Innovation Awards, reports coindesk.

Both products rely on the blockchain to address privacy and security concerns.

CES 2020: Blok On Blok (BOB) – The World’s 1st Blockchain Phone by Pundi X

The BOB phone, powered by Pundi X’s own f(x) blockchain, is the world’s first true blockchain phone. Its innovative open-source operating system called f(x) OS has a dual-mode feature allowing users to switch seamlessly between blockchain and Android modes.

Within the blockchain mode, the phone user can call, message or browse the internet without a centralized service provider. Therefore, no one can block, monitor or spy on the user’s calls, messages or data. In today’s world, where governments routinely hack phones, that will be a source of great comfort.
