Private Equity: Privitar Completes Series C Funding
Privitar announced the completion of an $80 million Series C funding round. The data privacy platform provider raised capital from private equity firm Warburg Pincus. It also saw participation from several other VC and PE firms. Investors include Accel, Partech, IQ Capital, Salesforce Ventures, and ABN AMRO Ventures.
The C round financing finished in less than a year after a $40 million, Accel-led Series B funding round in June 2019.
Privitar Platform
The Privitar Data Privacy Platform protects customers’ sensitive personal data. According to a press release, the platform offers comprehensive data privacy that frees users to extract the maximum value from the data they collect, manage, and use.
Privitar has been growing quickly with revenues tripling last year. The company opened new offices in Austin, Boston, Singapore, and Warsaw to increase penetration on a global basis.
Based in London, the firm also has offices in Amsterdam, Beijing, Berlin, Hong Kong, Houston, London, Luxembourg, Mumbai, Mauritius, San Francisco, São Paulo, Shanghai, and Singapore.
They also ranked in Tech Nation’s Future Fifty. The firm is also ranked the 9th fastest growing technology company in the UK by Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50.
