New alts platform designed for qualified, private investors

Abraxas Global Asset Management, a New York and Hong Kong provider of alternative asset solutions, will allow the direct use of its its GAM platform for alternative investing

These are “turbulent times,” said James Harding, the firm’s Head of Distribution and Marketing.

He is referring to market volatility, the risks from an equity meltdown, unresolved trade disputes, and the Brexit “mystery.”

“Non-correlation” the preferred solution

Demand grows in such times for alternative solutions that diversify away from traditional markets such as stocks and bonds. This ensures that the portfolio’s targeted returns are met regardless of unfavorable events in these markets (“non-correlation”).

Abraxas Global Asset Management: Private investors now on-boarded

Abraxas is an independent provider of asset management services and wealth management solutions.

“Reducing one’s exposure to equity markets and diversifying capital towards an alternative solution that shares no correlation to market effects is now an option for our private investors, as they seek balance in line with an optimized return profile,” said Harding in the same press release. “We believe that by diversifying the services we offer to our private investor base is critical in helping them to meet their investment goals.”
