Artificial Intelligence: Accenture Snaps Up India-Headquartered Industrial AI Firm Flutura
The terms of the acquisition of Flutura by Accenture were not revealed.
Accenture (NYSE: ACN), a global professional services company, has announced its acquisition of Flutura, an industrial artificial intelligence (AI) company based in Bangalore, India. Flutura specializes in industrial data science services for manufacturers and other capital-intensive organizations.
Its AI platform offers self-service solutions for advanced analytics, enabling processing, asset management, and reliability engineering teams to appraise and improve the performance, reliability, throughput, and energy efficiency of production and manufacturing facilities. (Accenture)
With this acquisition, Accenture aims to strengthen its industrial AI services to boost the performance of plants, refineries, and supply chains, while helping clients achieve their net-zero goals faster.
Accenture will deploy Flutura’s strengths in the energy, chemicals, metals, mining, and pharmaceutical industries. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.
This acquisition is in line with Accenture’s focus on building its data and AI capabilities for clients, with other recent AI acquisitions including Analytics8 in Australia, Sentelis in France, and Byte Prophecy in India.
