Artificial Intelligence/VC: AI-Enabled Business Automation Company AAICO Raises $42M
The Applied AI Company (AAICO) develops AI/ML driven products that automate mission critical business processes involving manual or repetitive work.
London-based The Applied AI Company (AAICO), which applies its proprietary AI platform to transform legacy business models, announced its raise of US$42 million from investors including G42, A.R.M Holding, Plug and Play Investment Group as well as distinguished families in Europe and the MENA region. (Fintech Global)
AAICO was founded in September 2021 by investments veteran Arya H. Bolurfrushan, and is manned by mainly Silicon Valley engineers, applied AI experts, and seasoned entrepreneurs. It targets the insurance, pharmaceutical, healthcare, safety, and government sectors, and has operating locations in Seattle, Philadelphia, London, Berlin, Frankfurt, and the UAE, and engineering in San Francisco.
It received seed investment from investors including Stefan von Liechtenstein, Garry Kasparov, Dennis Mahoney, Valnon Holding, Freud Holdings, HCS GmbH, Plug and Play Investment Group, Bolur Corporation and A.R.M. Holding, amongst others.
“We are humbled by the support of our investors in current market conditions. We take this responsibility seriously and are clear-eyed that a capital raise is not an indicator of success. We continue to keep our heads down, building great products for our US and UK based customers.” said Bolurfrushan, Founder and CEO.
In March, AAICO announced an AI partnership with Stanley Capital, the European and U.S.-focused mid-market private equity firm.
The collaboration was aimed at transforming private equity investing by using AAICO’s proprietary AI technologies within Stanley Labs, Stanley Capital’s technology arm, which focuses on developing and using AI and automation products to identify, evaluate and create value within SCP, its Healthcare Services and Software Special Purpose Acquisition Vehicle, and its portfolio companies.
