Artificial Intelligence: AI-Generated Avatar To Greet G20 Leaders; Nvidia’s Huang Meets PM Modi

The G20 Summit will be held in Delhi on September 9-10.
At the upcoming ‘Mother of Democracy’ exhibition hosted at Bharat Mandapam during the G20 Summit, a novel approach is set to welcome Heads of State and prominent leaders. Official sources have disclosed that an artificial intelligence-generated ‘avatar’ will greet attendees, providing a concise overview of the exhibition, which will delve into India’s democratic traditions from the ancient Vedic period to the contemporary era. This exhibition is designed to be accessible to a global audience, with textual content and audio available in 16 languages, including English, French, Mandarin, Italian, Korean, and Japanese.
The democratic ethos of India will be portrayed through 26 interactive screens in multiple kiosks, offering a comprehensive insight into the nation’s history of democracy. Additionally, the exhibition will feature a striking replica sculpture of the Harappan girl, towering at 5 feet in bronze and weighing 120 kg, despite the original being a mere 10.5 cm in height. A prominent aspect of the exhibit will be the evolution of India’s election traditions, spanning from the inaugural general elections in 1951-52 after gaining independence to the latest 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This multifaceted presentation aims to showcase India’s rich democratic heritage on the global stage.
Meanwhile, Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to India ahead of the G20 summit has piqued interest. During his meeting with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, discussions revolved around India’s potential in the field of artificial intelligence. India aspires to become a significant player in advanced semiconductor manufacturing, possibly challenging Taiwan’s dominance.
Although India has encountered setbacks in the semiconductor manufacturing arena, with a $20 billion project falling through, the nation remains eager to explore alternatives. This includes potentially attracting Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TPE: 2330), the world’s largest contract chip maker.
While the meeting between Huang and Modi did not explicitly mention chip-plant investments, it’s evident that India is keen on expanding its high-tech manufacturing sector and participating in the global semiconductor landscape.
