According to sources, Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is working on a health coaching service that uses artificial intelligence and tools to monitor the emotional health of its users. The coaching service, codenamed Quartz, is designed to encourage users to improve their exercise, diet, and sleep habits through tailored programs based on data collected from an Apple Watch. The service is expected to be offered for a monthly fee.
Apple is expanding its focus on health and plans to introduce new features to its products, including an iPad version of its health app that will display health data in a larger format. (Fox Business)
The app is also expected to include tools to track emotions and manage vision conditions. Users will be able to log their mood and evaluate their progress over time.
The iPhone giant hopes to eventually develop algorithms to determine a user’s mood based on their speech, text, and other data.
The new iPad app is expected to be revealed at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, with the health coaching service slated for release next year.
