BCAM is targeted at institutions, family offices and high net worth individuals.

Blockchain.com announced the launch of Blockchain.com Asset Management (BCAM), a crypto asset management platform offered in partnership with Altis Partners. The collaboration marries Blockchain.com’s expertise in digital asset trading, security, data, research and market access with Altis’ expertise in systematic trading, risk management, governance and operations. The platform will enable regulated crypto exposure to clients via robust risk management, client services, and integration with sophisticated investment strategies.

“BCAM combines the very best of old world financial markets with the new world of crypto,” said Blockchain.com in a statement. “The advent of distributed ledger technologies and crypto assets has the potential to change the structure of global capital markets while presenting new opportunities for investors.”

Products

BCAM is initially offering two products – a Bitcoin Tracker and a Bitcoin Smart Beta.

The BTC Tracker Tracks the bitcoin price versus USD, offering a cost-effective, regulatory compliant and secure method of obtaining exposure to bitcoin.

The BTC Smart Beta offers bitcoin exposure with systematic downside risk mitigation to reduce capital drawdowns.

Management

Blockchain.com’s Charlie McGarraugh will lead BCAM and serve as its Chief Investment Officer.

Altis’ Founding Principals Stephen Hedgecock and Alex Brunwin will oversee operations & compliance, and research & technology, respectively.
