BNY Mellon Investment Management has partnered with Girls Inc., a non-profit organization, as part of their commitment to gender equality. The investment adviser of the BNY Mellon ETF, BNY Mellon ETF Investment Adviser, will donate a minimum of 10% of the management fee to Girls Inc. Additionally, the BNY Mellon Foundation will grant funds to Girls Inc. and its New York branch, Girls Inc. of New York City, acknowledging their significant efforts in empowering girls and young women to achieve their maximum potential.
According to Newton’s Julianne McHugh, gender disparities have significant economic consequences, as achieving equal participation of women and men in the economy by 2025 could contribute an additional $28 trillion to global GDP.
McHugh also believes that companies supporting women, fostering inclusive cultures, providing appealing workplace policies, and empowering women through their offerings are more likely to achieve long-term success.
