The ChatGPT AI phenomenon lands on the Apple Watch as watchGPT.

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) Watch users can now access ChatGPT, the AI-powered chatbot that became a runaway hit since its launch in November, through a dedicated app named watchGPT. The app is available on the App Store for $3.99.

The key features of the watchGPT app are:

  • It allows users to interact with ChatGPT right from inside the Apple Watch
  • Quickly provides answers to your questions, or generates longer messages without typing
  • Shares the outcome of your interaction with others via text, email or social media
  • You may set the app as a complication for easy access
  • It does not collect any data.

The developer, Hidde van der Ploeg, announced that the app is available in English, Dutch, French, and Spanish languages and requires devices running iOS 13.0 or later, with a download size of 2.6MB.  (MINT)

The app’s upcoming updates will include the option to use one’s API key, access history, and the default ability to follow vocal input.

Users would be able to conduct an entire conversation, whereas currently they can ask only a single question.

watchGPT will also allow responses to be read out loud by the app itself, enhancing the user experience.

Last month, My AI, an OpenAI-powered chatbot, made its appearance on Snap and became accessible to Snapchat+ subscribers.

In a statement, Snap (NYSE: SNAP) said “My AI can recommend birthday gift ideas for your BFF, plan a hiking trip for a long weekend, suggest a recipe for dinner, or even write a haiku about cheese for your cheddar-obsessed pal.”
