Digital Assets: Now Use Cryptos to Privately Play (And Win) International Lotteries
Use BCH or BTC to play Power Ball, Mega Millions and other global jackpots with bitcoin.com
Cryptos have crashed the global lottery party. Bitcoin.com announced Tuesday its partnership with Canadian gaming and lottery giant Bravio Technologies.
Bitcoin.com will now have access to international lotteries, a highly lucrative and popular industry (Bitcoin.com).

Players can participate in international sweepstakes using lottery.bitcoin.com, a blockchain-based platform. They can buy tickets transparently and through a secure system by using bitcoin (BTC) or bitcoin cash (BCH)
“Automatic payouts will be sent directly to users’ digital wallets and, due to the anonymous nature of the blockchain, the Bitcoin.com will provide a fully-private way to both play and claim lottery winnings,” the company said in its statement.
Power Ball and El Gordo enter the cryptocurrency ecosystem
Lucky draws offered include the anonymous Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin Core (BTC) lotteries, enhanced quickfire sweepstakes, Mega Jackpot weekly draws, Power Ball and El Gordo.
“As blockchain technology evolves, new markets are opening, and co-mingling cryptocurrency, blockchain, and gaming is something we have looked at for a few years now,” said Bravio CEO Paul Carroll. “The partnership with Bitcoin.com is a fantastic opportunity for both companies to scale! Our aim is to bring highly secure crypto gaming to the masses.”
The bitcoin platform overcomes a key geographical hurdle
According to bitcoin.com, many traditional sweepstake platforms allow only users located inside the issuing country to purchase tickets, and that too by paying in the local currency.
Therefore, an international player is unable to buy a lottery, nor claim the winnings, from the US Power Ball lottery.
With the new bitcoin system, for the first time, users can buy global lotteries from any country. The Bitcoin.com lottery platform acts as a booking engine, locally purchasing tickets through official agents on users’ behalf.
Bitcoin.com CEO Stefan Rust commented that users are increasingly buying tickets online, but often faced the location limitation.
“We’ve solved that problem by building a seamless global platform,” he said. “No matter where you’re based, you can log in and play the world’s leading lotteries.”
Currently legit bitcoin lottery
However, Bitcoin Lotto, offered by Lottoland, claims to be the world’s first Bitcoin lottery.
“Match 6 numbers and we’ll pay a huge jackpot, starting at 1000 BTC, direct to your Bitcoin wallet,” says the website. “Alternatively, just take the cash equivalent – it’s your choice!”
Lotto also allows participation in the US Power Ball and MegaMillions.
The site pays out the US winnings by deducting tax at 38%.
“The MegaMillions and PowerBall Jackpots can be paid out in the 30-year installments, with one annual payment being made for the 30-year term,” says Lotto. “ Payment can also be offered as a lump sum and will be paid out at 60% of the total value of the annuity amount.”
