The NEW Franklin Templeton ETF will focus only on large and mid-cap stocks.

Franklin Templeton has launched the Franklin MSCI Emerging Markets Paris Aligned Climate UCITS ETF, which will track the MSCI Emerging Markets Climate Paris Aligned Index. This index spans large- and mid-cap stocks in 24 emerging regions that are taking active steps to decarbonize their economies.

This is the fourth product in the fund manager’s Paris-aligned ETF range and will be managed by Dina Ting and Lorenzo Crosato. The ETF aims to reduce climate risk exposure and invests in companies that sell products and services to address the ill effects of climate change. (ESG CLARITY)

The fund, which will be registered in 10 countries, has a total expense ratio of 0.18%.

It will trade on the Deutsche Börse Xetra, Borsa Italiana, and London Stock Exchange.

Caroline Baron, head of ETF distribution, EMEA, at Franklin Templeton, commented: “This ETF reduces climate risk exposure by investing in companies providing solutions to mitigate climate change as well as those improving their resilience to its consequences, giving them a long-term competitive advantage.

“With global temperatures on the rise and massive investment needed to reduce carbon emissions amid today’s rising energy needs, emerging markets play an important role in achieving net zero.”
