Poste Italiene is a listed company and Italy’s postal service provider.

Poste Italiene (BIT: PST) has a 160-year old history, approximately 12,800 post offices, 121,000 employees, total financial assets of €586 billion and 35 million customers. Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 2015, the group’s BancoPost unit has announced a tie up with Italy’s largest neobank, Banca AideXa, for fast digital loans to small and medium enterprise customers and sole proprietorships. The commercial agreement will combine AideXa’s technological know-how with Poste Italiane’s historical proximity to Italian companies.

Banca Aidexa, the Milanese fintech and bank focused on SMBs, received its banking licence in June 2021 from the ECB. It was founded by Roberto Nicastro, former general manager of Unicredit.

BancoPosta’s customers can now access AideXa’s digital instant lending platform through an entirely online process. This has been made possible by integrating Banca AideXa’s LaaS (Lending as a Service) with BancoPosta for an automatic, efficient and easily adaptable technology and loan service. AideXa’s software uses open banking and machine learning to perform risk assessments on businesses and provide loans within 48 hours.

BancoPosta’s small and medium enterprise customers can avail fast digital loans of between €10k and €1m.

“We are proud to be the first fintech to offer our instant lending platform to such a key player in Italy,” said Federico Sforza, Aidexa CEO and cofounder to Sifted.
