If you think your PC or laptop is more secure than a phone, you can now “iProov” yourself on the web.

iProov is a three-time winner of Finovate Best of Show. It is bringing a version of its renowned mobile identity verification app to laptops/PCs. According to data, consumers still prefer to use desktops and laptops for larger purchases. In 2019, web usage accounted for more than half of online revenue but only 37% of web traffic. (Finovate)

iProov’s Genuine Presence Assurance has been delivered through patented Flashmark technology in mobile apps since 2018.

Applications of iProov Web

Users can verify their presence for a variety of online objectives.

For example, in digital onboarding, they can verify their presence for setting up a bank account.

Again, iProov Web is useful for biometric identification and authentication of high-risk, high-value transactions like transferring money.

In recovery options, the utility can help a user recover their account or password in case of theft of digital identity or account.

“iProov Web is a game-changer for the digital identity industry,” said Andrew Bud, CEO of iProov. “Millions of people around the world have iProoved themselves on a mobile app, accessing online government, banking or travel services securely by proving that they are who they say they are and that they are genuinely present during the authentication.”

“With iProov Web, we are now enabling organizations to deliver the same uniquely secure and effortless authentication process on a web browser. Users without smartphones or those who prefer to use laptops or desktop computers for online banking or other secure services can now benefit from the same effortless user journeys as mobile users. It means a hugely improved digital customer experience, greater inclusivity and accessibility, and access to a larger audience.”

The fintech demonstrated its facial recognition-based biometric authentication solution at FinovateEurope in Berlin. It picked up its third consecutive Best of Show award.
