HANEtf and Quikro have collaborated on the launch of the new ETF.

The Cleaner Living ESG-S Ucits ETF (DTOX) will give investors exposure to themes emerging in cleaner food and dining, cleaner health and beauty, cleaner building and infrastructure, cleaner transportation, and cleaner energy. To be listed on London Stock Exchange in early September, the ETF is the second product from the HANEtf-Quikro combine. (Investment Week)

The ETF will track the Tematica Bita Cleaner Living Sustainability Screened index, developed with Tematica Research. The index comprises a basket of stocks each of which earns at least 80% of its income from “the structural change powering clean living.”

Tematica Research is an independent investment research firm focused on the development of thematic research and indices through the identification of sustainable market shifts.

Additionally, the DTOX ETF screens for sustainability by adherence to international standards concerning environmental protection, human rights, labor practices, anti-corruption, and the development of controversial weapons.

Qualifying as an Article 8 strategy under Sustainable Financial Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the ETF has a total expense ratio of 0.59%.

Structural societal shift

Omar ElKhesen, CEO of Quikro, said: “The craze towards cleaner living is not going away.  It has become clear that this sentiment has led to a structural shift in our society, as opposed to a short-term fad, and companies are pivoting to capture the changing consumer spending profile through new products.

“Consumers are becoming much more knowledgeable about the products they are purchasing and making conscious choices towards a cleaner, sustainable lifestyle. Demand for cleaner products and solutions, be they beauty products, or the food that we eat, is evident in almost every aspect of everyday life – when at the supermarket when purchasing new appliances or vehicles.”
