Venture Capital: Indonesian Sustainable Farming Startup Koltiva Raises Seven-Figure Series A Funding Round
Koltiva aims to foster an ecosystem benefiting global brands while also uplifting the grassroots level of the supply chain.
Koltiva, an Indonesia-based sustainable farming and supply chain traceability startup, has successfully secured a significant series A funding round, led by the reputable AC Ventures. This funding round also saw participation from Silverstrand Capital, Planet Rise, Development Finance Asia, Blue 7, and existing investor The Meloy Fund. Koltiva’s unique approach blends online and offline solutions to assist multinational companies and their suppliers in achieving traceability within their supply chains.
The company has already served over 1 million producers worldwide.
The global supply chain management market is on a growth trajectory, projected to reach US$75.6 billion by 2032, driven by a consistent CAGR of 10.9%. Koltiva’s relevance has surged in recent years due to the increasing demand for adherence to stringent ESG-oriented regulatory requirements. One such regulation, the EU’s Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR), mandates over 50,000 businesses selling products in EU markets to be deforestation-free, making Koltiva’s solutions essential for industries such as cocoa, coffee, rubber, and palm oil.
Koltiva is not just a service but a transformative tool, offering a comprehensive web and mobile app that handles various activities related to supply chain traceability and climate impact assessment. With a global reach, it works with producers in 52 countries, with a significant presence in Indonesia, Brazil, China, the Ivory Coast, and more.
Manfred Borer, Co-Founder & CEO of Koltiva, said the company was committed to empowering corporations to navigate evolving regulations and enhance smallholder producers’ livelihoods. Koltiva envisions a world where transparent and sustainable trade is the standard.
The platform already boasts an impressive user base of over 1 million producers and 6,800 businesses, showcasing the significant demand for their innovative solutions.
AC Ventures, a key investor, sees Koltiva as a major player in ensuring transparent and sustainable supply chains, contributing to a more environmentally sustainable future.
