“For me, this isn’t just a financial choice; it’s a commitment to shaping a world where returns aren’t just measured in dollars, but in the positive impact we leave on communities and the planet.”- Alec Ogletree, former NFL linebacker and General Partner of Alpha Fund I.

LaPhair Capital Partners has unveiled its flagship venture capital fund, Alpha Fund I, with a substantial goal of raising $100 million for investment. This fund has a unique focus on social responsibility within high-growth markets, aiming to address systemic disparities by serving underserved communities. The fund’s strategy centers on early-stage companies and aspires to achieve a minimum return of 35 percent.

Alpha Fund I is committed to making a significant impact by supporting innovative companies and bridging the gaps in systemic inequalities. It aligns with a McKinsey & Company report that identifies a potential $1-1.5 trillion opportunity within the United States alone by addressing systemic Black inequalities in various sectors. The fund envisions nurturing groundbreaking ideas to transform them into thriving businesses, thereby influencing the world of venture capital.

The fund’s approach includes investing in ventures such as Kinexx Modular Construction, which addresses the housing shortage in the US through an innovative construction process. This project has already garnered support from current and former professional athletes from major sports leagues and influencers dedicated to social responsibility.

Alpha Fund I seeks to contribute to the growth of the venture capital ecosystem, particularly in serving under-invested consumers in minority markets. The fund’s launch underscores its mission to leverage capital as a catalyst for positive change, aiming not only for financial returns but also for a positive impact on communities and the environment.

LaPhair Capital Partners describes itself as an influencer-backed, minority-led early stage investment firm.
