Digital Assets: Ledger and PayPal Integrate For Crypto Transactions
PayPal joins Ledger Live’s ‘Buy’ section as a new payment method and ‘Buy’ provider.
Ledger and PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL) have joined forces to simplify the process of entering and transacting in the world of cryptocurrency. The integration allows users to conveniently and securely transact cryptocurrencies through the Ledger Live companion app.
PayPal is now available as a payment method in Ledger Live’s ‘Buy’ section, enabling users in the U.S. to directly purchase BTC, ETH, BCH, and LTC using their linked PayPal accounts. This integration aims to provide a user-friendly platform for buying cryptocurrencies. (Ledger)
If users have previously bought crypto with PayPal, they can seamlessly make purchases through Ledger Live. The purchased assets will be automatically sent to their Ledger hardware wallet.
Users without a PayPal account or those new to crypto may need to create a PayPal account or undergo verification.
Ledger Live, with a substantial user base, offers various features like buying, selling, swapping, staking, and lending digital assets, as well as exploring the Internet of Value securely.
Pascal Gauthier, Chairman & CEO of Ledger, said the integration would merge the company’s unwavering security with PayPal’s expertise in secure payment technology to create a smooth and secure platform for cryptocurrency transactions. This integration offers more choices to users and ensures their confidence as they convert dollars into cryptocurrencies.
