“Crypto is a generation-defining technology, and we are fully committed to investing behind the best entrepreneurs looking to propel blockchain technology forward.” – Banafsheh Fathieh, Co-Founder and General Partner of Lightspeed Faction

Lightspeed Faction, a prominent blockchain-focused venture capital firm, has unveiled a $285 million venture fund. This fund prioritizes investment in early-stage blockchain projects, positioning itself as a long-term capital partner for these initiatives as they expand. Beyond offering financial support, the fund aims to assist blockchain entrepreneurs by providing expertise on various aspects, ranging from tokenomics to business scaling.

The team at Lightspeed Faction boasts experienced individuals from significant players in the crypto realm such as Amber Group, Blockchain.com, and Coinbase. This amalgamation of expertise is tailored to offer specialized guidance to entrepreneurs in the crypto landscape, filling a void in the industry. (CISION PR Newswire)

This venture, a collaboration between Lightspeed Faction and Lightspeed Venture Partners, combines Faction’s focus on crypto with Lightspeed’s Silicon Valley background and resources for business scaling. However, while collaborating on blockchain-related matters, Faction independently operates the fund, maintaining separate partnerships and decision-making control over the $285 million capital.

Faction’s primary emphasis remains on supporting blockchain projects that aim for positive societal impact. Its investments span various sectors of the blockchain industry, prioritizing users and businesses. Notably, Faction’s track record includes investments in established projects such as Crossmint, Lens, Narya.ai, Skip.money, Matter Labs, among others.

The founding partners, Banafsheh Fathieh and Samuel Harrison, bring a wealth of experience, having deployed over $500 million across early-stage and blockchain venture capital.

Lightspeed Faction’s ultimate goal is not only to be a financial partner but also a collaborative guide throughout the entire journey of blockchain founders, aiming to harness the technology for positive societal outcomes.
