Artificial Intelligence: Meet CarynAI, The First Influencer Transformed Into AI

The AI-powered digital replica already has 1,000 digital boyfriends who pay $1 per minute.
A 23-year-old influencer named Caryn Marjorie created an AI-powered chatbot called CarynAI that mimics her voice, personality and mannerisms, with the intention of offering a “flirty and fun” experience for users. However, following its launch, the chatbot started providing sexually explicit content, which had not been programmed into it.
According to Marjorie, the bot went “rogue”, and her team is working to fix the issue. Marjorie said that she wants to ensure that the chatbot does not harm her reputation.
The bot’s website claims that more than 2,000 hours were spent designing and coding it using OpenAI’s GPT-4 API, which was trained on Marjorie’s YouTube videos that have since been deleted.
CarynAI is designed to meet users’ needs and is adaptive. According to Marjorie, CarynAI has attracted over 1000 paid users as digital boyfriends, with thousands more waiting to use the service.
Although her YouTube videos have been deleted, Marjorie still maintains a private Instagram account with 217,000 followers and a Snapchat account with 1.85 million subscribers.
