By combining science and investment, finres aims to drive better agricultural investments through their AI-assisted platform, which provides loan underwriting services accounting for climate and price risks. Since its establishment in 2019 by Florent Baarsch, finres has influenced over €1.4 billion in deployments across 32 countries, serving clients such as the World Bank, the United Nations, AFD, and CRDB.
Baarsch highlighted the need for collaboration between scientists and public and private investors to address agricultural industry resilience.
Speedinvest’s Alexis Majos said finres had a unique ability to bridge the gap between science and investment, enabling financial institutions to uncover opportunities supporting agricultural resilience.
