Private Equity: KKR Teams with Dan Daniel to Catapult U.S. Industrial Business
KKR Pursues U.S. Industrial Sector Opportunities
Global investment firm KKR has announced its partnership with executive William K. Daniel. Daniel is a former executive at Danaher Corporation — a global science and technology innovator. This partnership will focus on acquisitions in industrial businesses. In the long run, KKR hopes to grow businesses and improve their performance. This goal will be achieved through KKR’s experience in expanding its industrial portfolio.
An Inviting Market
KKR claims that the Covid-19 pandemic’s effect on the economy has allowed for opportunities to buy companies. The lack of demand in the industrials sector has invited buying within the market.
William Daniel has extensive experience both as an executive at Danaher for over a decade and in managing Industrial Technologies portfolios. According to Daniel, he and KKR share critical ideas in company culture and value creation. Evidently, Daniel has stated “I am excited to partner with KKR to acquire, improve and build a world class business over the long term. We share similar philosophies around value creation and the critical importance of culture and talent. I am particularly enthusiastic about the broad-based ownership model that KKR’s Industrials Team has successfully deployed numerous times.” KKR is already following through with its philosophy by directly engaging its employees. The company has allocated $1 billion of equity to 25,000 of its employees in addition to investing in employee safety and training. According to KKR, this stock ownership program is meant to incentivize growth within the firm.
