Aviva and Unigestion have different strategies, but big expectations.

Unigestion, a Swiss-based PE firm, has launched a new Luxembourg-domiciled fund. Its Unigestion Secondary V will focus on secondary opportunities and deals below 50 million euros.

“Unigestion follows a rigorous due diligence process, applying a bottom-up evaluation of every single portfolio company which includes detailed financial modeling, interviews with senior company management and debt analysis,” the firm said in a statement.

The new launch comes less than two years after the close of Unigestion Secondary IV, which hit a 300-million-euro target.

“Such transactions have allowed us to access high quality, mature assets at compelling valuations,” said private equity head Christophe De Dardel. “As a result, we are consistently able to deliver exceptional returns to our clients irrespective of market conditions.’

Aviva Investors Looks to ESG and Yield

Aviva Investors have launched a European High Yield Fund that incorporates ESG analysis. It aims to outperform its benchmarks by investing in European B or BB high-yield bonds. Senior portfolio managers Sunita Kara and Chris Higham will manage the strategy. The fund can distribute in Austria, Finland, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Great Britain.

“Aviva Investors European High Yield fund seeks consistent, risk-adjusted returns, with a focus on higher-rated companies,” said Sunita Kara.
