Venture Capital: Space Robotics Startup GITAI Loads Up On $15M Funding

GITAI aims to deliver secure and cost-effective robotic labor solutions in space, slashing operational expenses by a factor of 100.
Space robotics startup GITAI, comprised of GITAI USA Inc. and GITAI Japan Inc., has successfully raised an additional $15 million in funding for its Series B Extension round. This funding is in addition to the $30 million announced earlier this year, bringing the total for the Series B Extension round to $45 million.
The newly acquired funds will serve the purpose of expanding GITAI’s business in the U.S. and supporting a partial lunar surface demonstration, particularly involving the “GITAI Lunar Rover.”
The financing came from various entities, including Green Co-Invest Investment Limited Partnership, Pacific Bays Fund 1 & 1A Investment Limited Partnerships, and MSIVC 2021V Venture Capital Investment Limited Partnership, along with a loan from MUFG Bank, Ltd. (NYSE: MUFG)
GITAI’s goal is to transform space activities by creating exceptionally skilled, secure, and dependable robots designed for a range of tasks, including constructing and upkeeping satellites, space stations, lunar bases, and even urban settlements on Mars.
