Former VP releases list of bundlers to promote transparency

Alan Patricof, the founder of Apax Partners, sits among a very powerful list of bundlers for potential Democratic nominee Joe Biden. Over the weekend, Biden released the list of bundlers, who will raise at least $25,000 on his campaign. Patricof is also the founder and managing director of Greycroft, which has $1 billion under management.

Furthermore, the list also features a “Who’s Who” roster of Washington power and a wealth of former U.S. ambassadors. Names include:

  • Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey;
  • Delaware Sen. Chris Coons;
  • Former White House chief of staff Erskine Bowles;
  • Dorothy McAuliffe, wife of former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe.
  • Elizabeth Frawley Bagley, former U.S. Ambassador to Portugal;
  • Denise Bauer, former U.S. Ambassador to Belgium;
  • Anthony Gardner, former U.S. Ambassador to the European Union;
  • Mark Gilbert, former U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand; and,
  • Hollywood producer Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Finally, Biden released the list at a time that other candidates are debating over money in politics. Recently, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg also voluntarily released the names of his top bundlers.
